Richardson Pottery

My passion for ceramics spans over 40 years.I gain inspiration from nature, my love of cooking and desire to produce well designed craft. I first fell in love with creating pots at San Bernardino High School with Mr. Sigler as my teacher.
As a Studio Art Major at CSUSB, I joined my first clay community and benefitted from the guidance of Ken Reed and Bill Warehall. Upon retirement from 35 years in Public Education, I have the unique opportunity to return to my love of clay at Porras Studio in Yucaipa. David and Nannette Porras have been a tremendous mentors and the greatest influence on my work.
Quality and functional aesthetics, are at the heart of my designs. When the pitcher pours perfectly, the lid fits snuggly and the bowl feels at home in your hands, I know I've created a piece that is ready be re-homed.My goal is to create unique and functional pieces that people will cherish for years.
All my ceramics are both dishwasher & microwave safe. Additionally all glazes are nonporous food grade quality, ensuring that your pieces are not only stunning but also safe to use.
